“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”

– Albert Einstein, physicist

We are a small team of passionate, like-minded individuals striving to inspire change. We give new life to materials around us, preventing them ending up in our rivers, oceans and landfills by upcycling them into beautiful, unique pieces of furniture and art that are designed to last. We believe that sustainability is not optional and proper long-term thinking should be the industry standard. We want to inspire change by creating unique objects that are bold, beautiful, and built to last. By creating demand we can influence supply chains into focusing on innovations in recycling. We hope that soon it will be easier and more cost-effective to purchase re-used materials than to extract them.

People have tremendous energy, creativity, genius and determination. We can harness these qualities to develop the sectors that are vital to humanity’s long-term wellbeing.

Covid-19 made everything stop worldwide, but it also gave us the chance to disconnect, take a step back and look at the bigger picture: our planet is crying out for help and tomorrow is too late. Change has to start today and everyone must do their part. Through lifestyle decisions, through our diet, through business – we have to change.

Your lifestyle choices have global consequences. By 2030, the Global Ecological Footprint is expected to reach “two”, meaning that we will need the equivalent of two planet Earths to match our consumption and absorb our waste. We are using too much with too little care. Our ecosystems cannot keep up with our ever-increasing demands.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle to cut down the need for virgin raw materials. These are things that everyone – individuals and businesses alike – can do to lessen our footprint and put ourselves on a more sustainable path.

The amount of hectares cut down in just 40 years. That’s a forest area the size of Europe, gone!

Half the world’s rainforest has been destroyed in just one century.

If we don’t act and the current rates of deforestation continue, the world’s rainforest will be gone in less than 100 years.

Of steel is produced each year for every person in the world – that’s a lot of steel! We basically cannot do anything without needing this tough, corrosion-resistant metal.

But the environmental impact of steel is subsequently enormous. Steel production is one of the most energy-consuming and CO2 emitting industrial activities in the world.

Reductions in CO2 emissions are needed to limit a catastrophic rise in global temperatures. According to the UN Environment Programme, emissions must fall by 25% before 2030 to keep increases within two degrees by 2100.

A 55% reduction is therefore needed before 2030 to limit the increase to 1.5 degrees.
