Import duty guidance for orders outside of the UK

Prices displayed on our shop page in the UK (in £) are higher as they include 20% VAT. The prices displayed on our shop page outside of the UK, in currencies like $ or € exclude any taxes and these are payable by the customers, straight to their tax office. Below is a guidance table of those taxes and duties.

We ship dozens of Droptop Desks every week to happy customers outside the UK and the figures on the above table are accurate to the best of our knowledge. As we don’t have the authority to guarantee these figures, they are to be used as guidance only. 

Tax payment process: When your DropTop is ready, it will be collected by DHL and when it reaches your country’s “Customs Office” , DHL will contact you for payment of the relevant tax bill. We have no control over these rates and these costs are not taken by Pith & Stem.

The postage costs for your order will be automatically calculated by DHL based on your delivery address. The total price including postage costs will be displayed as the last step of the checkout before you are prompted to enter your payment details.

Time of delivery is the manufacturing lead time displayed on your chosen item’s product page, plus shipping time, which is usually 1-2 days for the UK and 3-5 days for the rest of the world.

If customs duties/taxes are not paid and the item is returned to us, the original shipping cost will not be refunded. Additional return shipping or restocking fees may apply. This does not apply to returns made voluntarily under our 90-day money-back guarantee, which remain fully refundable as long as return conditions are met.
